Kemikalieinspektionen
The Swedish Chemicals Agency's PRIO tool is the basis for many of the BASTA system's criteria, and the BASTA system includes what is called in PRIO phase-out and prioritized risk reduction substances.
Phase-out substances
- Properties: Cancer-causing, Mutagenic, Reproduction disrupting, Fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases), Endocrine disruptor, Strong allergen, Ozone depleting, PBT/vPvB, PMT/vPvM, Particularly dangerous metals (Cd, Hg, Pb), PFAS (Especially persistent substances)
Criteria that must be met
- H1.A, H1.C, H1.E, H1.F, H2.A, H3.A, H3.B, H3.D, H3.E, H3.F, H4.A, H4.B, H4.C, H4.D, H5.A, H6.A, H7.B, H7.C
Priority risk-reduction substances
-
Properties: Allergenic, Carcinogenic, Environmentally hazardous long-term effects, Mutagent, Very high acute toxicity, Potential PBT/vPvB, Potential endocrine disruptor, Reproductive harm, Specific organ damage after repeated exposure
