EU - CSRD – Substances of concern (SoC)
Under CSRD, Substances of Concern (SoC) refer to chemicals in products or operations that may pose risks to human health or the environment and are regulated or monitored under frameworks such as REACH (e.g., SVHCs). Companies must disclose how they identify, manage, and reduce the use and impact of these substances across their value chain as part of their sustainability reporting.

Criteria
Substances of concern (SoC)
The requirement includes the phasing out of hazardous substances that are mentioned in the legislation
This is checked in the BASTA system by checking whether the product does not contain substances that are classified as Substances of concern (SoC) in concentrations above their classification limits.
