New functionality in the system

We have released several new features in the BASTA system designed to make it easier for all users. Here, we will present four of them — next week, we will review the remaining features.

New Columns Added: “Last Modified” and "Brand"

In logged-in mode, a new date column has been added to the company’s articles table, showing when an article was last updated, as well as a new column which shows the article´s brand. To add these columns in your table, select it via “Columns” and then check the box next to “Last Modified” and "Brand name".

Upload Article Images by Adding a Direct Link

It is now possible to add images to registered articles by providing a direct link to the image. An image link can be added manually to the article or imported via the system’s import file.

Please note that the image must be in WEBP, JPEG, PNG, or GIF format in order to be displayed on the article.

Expanded Filters for Optional Criteria Areas

The search function has been enhanced with clearer and more comprehensive filters related to optional criteria areas, circularity, renewability, environmental impact (EPD), as well as emissions and testing.

This update aims to simplify the process of finding articles that contain specific types of information.

Updated Import File: One File for Both Swedish and English

The import file used to add and/or update articles in BASTA has been simplified by combining both the English and Swedish versions into a single Excel file.

In other words, there is no longer a separate Swedish and English file; these have now been merged. The language selection for the file’s columns is made in the “Start” tab of the import file.

If you have already begun an update process using the previous version of the import file, you may continue to use it to update your articles in the system.
