Launch of V36.1

The BASTA system has been modularized, which means that it is now possible to register and publish a product as long as one of the following criteria is met: 

Health and environmental hazard, required to receive a rating 

Circularity 

Renewable 

Environmental effects - EPD 

Emissions and tests 

New criteria areas are Article identifier (mandatory) and Article information (optional), these criteria have existed before but are not described in the criteria document 

Under the criteria area Health and environmental hazards, the following changes have taken place: 

The BASTA rating has been renamed ALPHA 

When registering, the proportion of primary and circulated raw material must be stated  

The methodology for assessing the circulated raw material has been clarified  

For the ELECTRONICS product group, the methodology and definition of what constitutes electronics have been updated. The definition now follows the RoHS Directive's definition. 

Criterion V36.H5.A Hazardous to the ozone layer has updated regulation, 2024/590  

The section "Methodology for assessment" has been updated 

Under the criterion area "Environmental effects – EPD", major updates have been made. These have been made to make it easier for those who consume data to be able to use product-specific EPD data directly for calculations. Existing data will be migrated and supplementation will be required during the autumn.
