National Agency for Public Procurement

How do the requirements of the Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement work?

The Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement's requirements are available at two levels: Basic and Advanced. These requirements apply to all materials, goods and products that are incorporated into buildings as permanent parts of the construction.

For each product used, a content declaration must be provided, including the calculated content and concentrations of substances with environmental and health hazards. Calculations are based on the products as supplied to the construction or installation site, including mixtures and assembled products.

The requirements for substances with environmental and health hazards are aligned with the criteria of the BASTA system. Requirement Level A corresponds to the BASTA ALFA grade, while Requirement Level B corresponds to the BASTA BETA grade.

The Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement's requirements can be used by public sector organisations and incorporated into procurement documents.
