What is EU - Substances of Very high Concern (SVHC)?
Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) are chemical substances identified within the EU's REACH Regulation as particularly hazardous to health and the environment, such as carcinogenic, reprotoxic or persistent substances.
These substances can be included on the Candidate List and then be subject to information requirements, restrictions or authorisation requirements in order to be gradually phased out or controlled. If information is available in the criteria area Health and environmental hazards, the BASTA system checks whether the product complies with REACH - SVHC.
SVHCs are regulated in Articles 57 and 59 of the EU Chemicals Regulation REACH (EC No. 1907/2006) and CLP.

Criteria
EU - Substances of Very high Concern (SVHC:
The requirement covers the phasing out of hazardous substances found in the legislation.
This is checked in the BASTA system by checking whether the product does contain substances that are classified as SVHCs in concentrations above its classification limits or are on the Candidate List in concentrations above 0.1%.
Criteria that must be met in the BASTA system:
H1.A, H1.C, H1.E, H2.A, H2.B, H3.A, H3.B, H11.A
