Download data from BASTA’s database
Which data can be retrieved from BASTA’s database?
One of the cornerstones of the BASTA system is to provide data on all environmentally evaluated articles in an open and transparent manner.
BASTA does this in several different ways:
- Search for registered articles on BASTA’s website
- Connect your own systems to BASTA’s database via BASTAS API
- Get extracts/excerpts from BASTA’s database via an Excel file
Search for registered articles on BASTA’s website
On BASTA’s website, you can search for registered articles free of charge. You can also see information about an article’s environmental performance, circularity and more. To get to the search page, click here.
Connect your own systems to BASTA’s database via BASTAs API
Instead of searching our database manually, there is an option to connect your own tools and databases to BASTA’s database via our so-called APIs, Application Programming Interface, and thus always have accurate and updated information about the article’s status in the BASTA system.
In the connected tool/database, you can among other things see which criteria level the articles fulfil (BASTA, BETA, DECLARED or ELECTRONICS).
It is free to use BASTAs API. However, to gain access to the API you will need to sign an agreement regarding the use of the BASTA system’s logos and provide contact information. If you are interested in getting started with this, contact bastaonline@ivl.se and we will help you.
We also have a public documentation of our API and its functions, see more on this page, API – Documentation
Get extracts from BASTA’s database via Excel
For those organizations that does not have the opportunity to connect their system via API but still want to match articles in their own systems or databases against BASTA’s database, we offer a monthly update of registered articles via an Excel. If you are interested in getting started with this, please contact bastaonline@ivl.se and we will help you.
