BASTA and BETA Properties Criteria
The BASTA and the BETA criteria are now available in two alternative sets - option 1 and option 2. Suppliers are free to choose which of the options to be used, but must use the selected option for all products in the system. It is important that the supplier clearly state which of the options that is being applied.

Option 1 of the criteria is the existing criteria developed under the Swedish classification rules (KIFS 2005:7) and can be used until 1 June 2015 during the transitional phase for the introduction of the European classification rules (CLP) in Sweden. Option 2 of the criteria are developed according to European classification rules (CLP).

Note that since option 1 of the criteria is the same as the existing criteria (for both BASTA and BETA), no changes of the properties criteria have been done and thus no extra work for you as a supplier will be required.
